How to Ensure Your Rugs Endure

When you invest in a bespoke handcrafted rug, it’s important to understand how to care for the delicate nature of specific materials, constructions, and expected wear with age. Our rugs are designed and expertly woven of the finest natural fibers such as wool, silk, flax, and jute. Fading is a natural occurrence to any item exposed to the sun, so we recommend rotating your rug every three months to ensure even wear over time.
To preserve your rug, use a rug pad and avoid direct sun exposure. For tough stains, it’s best to schedule professional cleaning as soon as possible. Viscose rugs should never be self-treated and require the services of professional cleaners. If you’re vacuuming, ensure your vacuum is always on the lowest setting. We recommend suction-only vacuums to lessen the possibility of damage to the fiber and fringe.
For our signature outdoor styles, avoid standing water on your rug and during extreme weather and winter months, carefully store your performance or indoor/outdoor rug by rolling the rug front side out and placing it into an airtight plastic bag in a dry area.
